Thanks again for a great season, and double thanks to those who completed the end of season survey. I loved all your training suggestions and I’m looking forward to planning the sessions next December. I’ll be back to the Forest Service next fall; it’s time for my furlough now. I’ll be back to being a North Cascades Park Ranger this summer. Come see me in Glacier or on Copper Ridge. Mountain Stewards: I’ll be seeing you before long.

Here’s our site visitation by week:

Our visitation was pretty steady this year - plenty of decent weather

 

The final reults of the 2009-2010 Skagit eagle survey from Newhalem to Sedro-Woolley:

The third week could have been this year's peak week. That number does NOT include the stretch of river from Marblemount to Rockport. That is usually where the most eagles are.

 

Here are the peak eagle numbers from the Wednesday counts from 2001 to the present. Each number represents the number of eagles counted in one day from Newhalem to Sedro-Woolley.

2006-2007 was quite a year, wasn't it?
